The purpose of Yoga at Your Desk is specifically to neutralize the negative effects of sedentary work and focus on problematic areas such as the neck, back, shoulders, and eyes. The breathing exercises you can learn during the sessions are unbeatable tools for achieving mental health and inner harmony. The deep, steady breathing that characterizes yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps you relax and get out of the “fight or flight” state caused by stress.

Keeping your busy calendar in mind, yoga at your desk can do wonders in as little as 60 minutes. You can come straight from the office melting away the stress. You don’t need a mat nor have to get changed as you can practice in a business casual outfit. All poses will be practiced in seating and standing.

 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOGA AT YOUR DESK?

When: Mondays from 5.30 to 6.30 PM on November 13th, 20th, 27th, and December 1st, 11th, and 18th.

Cost: Free to all on the 13th of Nov. Thereafter £50 for 5 sessions or £15 drop-in.
